The Three Lions would
have got their tournament underway against their World Cup semi-final opponents
at Wembley Stadium on June 14th, but the Covid-19 pandemic has put everything
on hold.
We had a look at the best
rated Englishmen this term and how boss Gareth Southgate could have lined up.
Here's the gallery of the starting.
1. Joe Gomez
Virgil van Dijk might get
all the plaudits, but the Liverpool center back has been a revelation for the
Premier League leaders since returning to the side. In 19 appearances Gomez has
played his part in 10 clean sheets and has shipped just five goals.
2. Sheffield
United stopper.
The Sheffield United
stopper, on loan from Manchester United, has kept 10 clean sheets in 27
appearances for the Blades this season. The 23-year-old has conceded just 22
times and has made 70 saves so far this term. Football fans can book England Euro Cup

3. Ben
Chilwell
The Leicester City full
back started England's last three Group A games in the European Championship
qualifiers and helped keep a clean sheet in each of those. He's featured 23
times for the Foxes in the top flight, keeping the opposition out eight times.
4. Trent
Alexander-Arnold
The Liverpool defender
faces plenty of competition for the right back role, but the 21-year-old is leading
the way. He is contributed to 10 clean sheets at one end of the field and added
12 assists at the other end as the Reds marched towards the title.
