Some players

On
Tuesday, UEFA announced that Euro 2020 would be postponed by a year
due to the coronavirus outbreak. That will give national team
managers plenty to ponder over the next 15 months. Including Gareth Southgate
whose England side may look quite different by the time the tournament
belatedly gets underway.
Goalkeeper:
Dean Henderson
The
Sheffield United shot-stopper was applying plenty of pressure to Jordan
Pickford anyway. And another full season of Premier League football under his
belt may see him usurp the Everton No 1. Burnley's Nick Pope is likely to be in
the mix too having kept a league-high 11 clean sheets in 2019-20.
Right
Back: Trent Alexander-Arnold
Taken to
World Cup 2018 as a learning experience with Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker
preferred, Trent Alexander-Arnold is now the clear first-choice at right-back.
By the time Euro 2021 rolls around, he could well face competition from fellow
youngsters Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Reece James.
Centre
Back: Joe Gomez
Liverpool's
recent dip during Joe Gomez's absence emphasized how important he is to the
side. One of the first names on Southgate's team sheet on the current form. Euro 2021 fans can book England Euro Cup Tickets
on our website on exclusively discounted prices.
Centre
Back: Harry Maguire
A mainstay
of the side during the Southgate years and one of England's best performers
during the World Cup. Having been appointed Manchester United captain this Euro
2021 season, Harry Maguire will be an influential member of the side next
summer.
Left
Back: Bukayo Saka
Ben
Chilwell's excellent performances in the autumn looked to have sealed his place
in England's team. But the Leicester City star's performances have undeniably
dropped since. That could pave the way for Arsenal's teenage sensation Bukayo
Saka to make the position his own. Only 18, Saka has provided ten assists this
season.
Defensive
Midfield: Kalvin Phillips
Whatever
happens in regards to Leeds United's promotion push, Kalvin Phillips will
almost certainly be plying his trade in the Premier League in 2020-21. No
player at Elland Road has benefited more from Marcelo Bielsa's one-to-one
tuition than Phillips. Who is more complete than any of England's current
options in defensive midfield?
Striker:
Harry Kane
England
Following on from his Golden Boot win at the 2018 World Cup. Harry Kane
top-scored in Euro qualifiers with 12 goals, making history in the process by
netting in all eight of his fixtures. Tammy Abraham, Danny Ings, Dominic
Calvert-Lewin, Callum Wilson, and perhaps Brentford's Ollie Watkins, could
provide backup.
