Euro 2021: Zlatan Ibrahimovic will remain the part of Sweden Squad
AC Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic will stay in Sweden until
Serie A finalizes a date to return. Euro 2021 fans can book Spain Vs Sweden Tickets on our website on exclusively discounted prices.
The 38-year-old Swedish striker went home following the coronavirus outbreak
which saw all games in the Italian league suspended to prevent the spread of
the disease. Fixtures are due to commence on May 9 at present, with the
intention of players returning to training on May 3.
It is likely games will be staged behind closed doors and
with rigorous measures to protect players and staff, according to Italy's
leading infectious diseases specialist Giovanni Rezza. Zlatan has been able to
maintain both physical and match fitness by training with Swedish football club
Hammarby.
Zlatan is a co-owner for the Swedish top-flight side after
buying 25 per cent stake in the team last November, a move which has infuriated
fans of his former club, Malmo. Milan is content with Zlatan's use of Hammarby
as they want their star striker to return to action in peak condition.
Despite his age, the statistics show that Zlatan has been the
best Milan goalscorer of the last 10 years, with 60 goals in 97 matches. Since
the Swede pulled on the famous red-and-black jersey against Sampdoria on
January 6, Stefano Pioli's side went on to win five and draw two in all
competitions.
His return to the San Siro - seven-and-a-half years after he
departed for PSG – has delighted fans, who still hold fond memories of his
brief, but a hugely successful, first stint at Milan. Euro 2021 fans can book Sweden Euro Cup Tickets on our website on exclusively discounted prices.
He has recently admitted he is not sure where his future lies following reports he is ready to walk away from Milan just three months after returning. The former Man Utd player was unhappy with the club's decision to sack chief football officer Zvonimir Boban and has been left 'disappointed' by the hierarchy shake-up.
Boban had been instrumental in bringing Ibrahimovic back to
Milan, and there was a growing expectation that the team for next season was to
be built around the striker. However, his dismissal leaves Zlatan's future at
the club in limbo, with the star striker keeping his options open to a
potential move elsewhere.
