Euro 2021: Rashford says intended to surge again from injury for the competition

Britain forward Marcus Rashford says he was set up to surge
once more from injury to play at the tournament this late spring before the
competition was delayed to 2021. Man Utd administrator Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had
said in February that Rashford was an uncertainty for the Euros because of a
pressure crack in his back.
Rashford suffered his back injury after coming on as a
substitute in United’s 1-0 FA Cup win over Wolves on January 15. He came on in
the 2nd half but was forced off again just 15 minutes later. He took
a risk by playing. Rashford had scored 22 goals in 37 games for club and
country before his injury blow.
Previous England captain Wayne Rooney, who hurried back from
injury to play at the 2006 World Cup, has exhorted Rashford not to go to a
significant competition except if 100per penny fit however he said it is hard
to pass up a great opportunity. Euro 2021 fans can book England Euro Cup Tickets on our

Rashford told the press:
"I was likely going to return mid or end of April that
would have been a push since I would not like to miss the late spring, so I
question I would have been 100per penny fit going into that competition. From
that point forward a great deal has occurred (yet) for my body it's been
acceptable to give it its full term to rest.”
“I focus (on what Rooney says) and yet it's difficult to
disapprove of something where you could give it a decent go. You need to attempt
to play each game you can."
